About Me

I’m a retired 1st grade teacher who loved teaching reading and writing. I live in Oswego, Illinois with my dog, Sophie. Since my retirement, I love to read and collect thoughts (must have a pad of paper and pen with me), drink tea, nibble on cookies and write. When you find wonderful thoughts you just have to write them down. So then you have all these thoughts and they make you want to write and share them with others. You can look for fun places to write, too!

I saw the joy a book brought a child and I KNOW the joy a book brings me so I began dreaming of writing books and so I did! I wrote 2 children’s books about long legged turtles and an adult book about my journey to faith. Word/books can change your life. They help you learn, grow and change which is something else I love to do!

I love other things too — my family and friends. I love to laugh which reminds me of chair volleyball — an hour of constant laughing at the Senior Center. Walking the beach, quilting and just being with family and friends bring me great joy!!!
