Hi! So grateful you found me!
I am a thought collector. I love collecting thoughts! I can’t read a book without a pen and a pad of paper! You never know when you will come across a great thought that you just have to have! Thank you for encouraging and allowing me to write and share my thoughts with you :)
Happy Reading!
Kathy
Who knew I would love to write. I remember writing in school. Lots of red marks! I could never be a writer. Never, even, gave it a thought until Lucy Calkins walked into my life. I was sitting in the front row at a writing conference when this lady walked up to the podium and took off her shoes. She talked to us all day in bare feet. I knew I was going to love what she had to say and I DID!!! Her words created the love of writing in me! I was hooked!
For many years, I have been a “thought collector”. I love thoughts! I can’t tell you how many thoughts I have collected! It’s crazy!!!! The great thing about collecting thoughts is that they give you so many ideas for writing. Now, writing is my favorite thing to do! Sharing some of these ideas about writing will be a fun thing to do, too! LOL!
One thing I do when I write is find a fun place to write. I really like cozy. The picture up above is one of my favorite places to write. It’s at The Village Grind in downtown Oswego, Illinois. It is the coziest coffee shop I know. It’s full of fun places to sit, people are so friendly, and you can hear the hum of everyone chatting. People will even stop and ask me what I am doing? I love it. I meet lots of interesting people.
I have a big, cozy chaise in my sunroom that I love to sit in, sip tea, nibble cookies, write and listen to nature outside. I have a little breakfast nook area in my kitchen that I love to sit and write with a little pot of tea and cookies :). Soon I hope to have a screened gazebo to write in on beautiful summer days/nights or in a light gentle rain! I even wrote on top of an empty life guard’s chair in California and on a BIG rock! A cozy spot always makes me think better :). Can you find a cozy spot?
